3" x 3" Box

Hi all, I was asked to post the instructions for this cute little box, along with the Tea Light Boxes on my previous post.  This houses perfectly the 12 Tea Light Box, but would also make an ideal box for little 3" notelet cards and envelopes, another great gift!

This also came from watching Sam from Pootles Papercraft on Youtube.

I used a 220gsm cardstock and stamped it with a Teal Momento ink using a "floral flourish" stamp from Indigo Blu.  Double sided satin ribbon was used to embellish the box lid.

The measurements are as follows:-

Box Lid - from an A4 piece of cardstock - cut at 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" and score at 1 1/2" on all 4 sides.

Box Base - from an A4 piece of cardstock - cut at 7 3/16" x 7 3/16" and score at 2" on all 4 sides.

Mitre the tabs as shown by the hatching, as this will give your box corners a nice finish.

I use both a wet glue and a strong adhesive tape to hold the box.  Make sure you place the tape on the right side of the box to enable you to secure the tabs to the inside of the box.  Take your time lining up the edges, as this will make all the difference when you come to fit the lid and base together.

I hope you have fun making this box?  Post a comment if you have any questions?
